Keeping The Environment Clean

It has happened more than once. While on the water fishing, you come upon a strand of broken fishing line in the water, tangled in sticks or rocks. It turns out to be a rather long piece of line. You are wading and really have no way of carrying the wad of line while you continue fishing. So, do you quit fishing to take it back to the vehicle or do you swallow the guilt and leave it? Either way it is sort of a lose-lose situation.

There’s now a good solution to this conundrum. It’s the Leader Eater Mini from Pack It Out. This tool is designed for attaching to your vest, pack or waders with a carabiner. It has an internal spool with Velcro that will easily wind up broken line getting it out of the water and stored for easy carrying.

Additionally, it has a receptacle for storing small bits of trash, hooks or debris you encounter. Once off the water the rubber cap covering the receptacle pops off to dump the trash. It also features a carabiner-ready clip point.

There’s also a Leader Eater Max model that is about the size of a soda can and is ideal for use in a drift boat, kayak or other vessel. It has all the same features as the mini but in an expanded size. Also, instead of a carabiner clip point, it is designed to fit in cup holders.

The Leader Eater Mini has an MSRP of $32.00, and for the max size it is $43.00. For more details click here.
