She is a member and past president of the Georgia Outdoor Writers Association and she serves on the Georgia Coastal Resources Division’s Finfish Committee. Jimmy Jacobs has been fly fishing and reporting on the action in the South for more than half a century. He was the editor of Georgia Sportsman magazine for 25 years, and won more than three dozen Excellence in Craft Awards from the Georgia Outdoor Writers Association, Florida Outdoor Writers Association and Southeastern Outdoor Press Association. He is a 2017 inductee into the Southern Fly Fishing Hall of Fame in the communications category, which is headquatered in Swain County, North Carolina and a member of the Georgia Outdoor Writers Association Hunting and Fishing Hall of Fame in the same category.
