Mississippi Saltwater Fly-Fishing Records

Unlike most southern states, Mississippi recognizes saltwater fly-fishing state records. The heat of the summer does not shut down saltwater fly fishing to the same extent that it can in fresh water. To back that up, the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources records show 10 record fish being taken in August.
