As we near the holiday season, we all can use gift ideas for the angler in our lives. We may even want to provide that extra encouragement that a spouse, child or friend may need to become a future fishing buddy. At On the Fly South, we very much appreciate the advertising support we receive and want to remind our subscribers, that a gift certificate for a guided trip, fly-casting lesson or fishing gear is never the wrong size and always appreciated. Following are ideas and suggestions for the angler on your gift list:

ViviLux (viviluxusa.com) Dave Riba developed the portable magnifier and lamp with crafters in mind. Recently he debuted his item with fly tyers. The lamp is portable, light-weight and can be carried on fishing trips for either spur-of-the-moment or planned tying sessions. It is stable and not ‘tippy’ during use. There are different sizes and models of the lamp. It comes with three settings: bright white, warm (for reading) and natural daylight (for true color). The light uses twin super bright 1200 lumen LED bulbs. The ideal gift for the fly tyers on your list!
