As we near the holiday season, we all can use gift ideas for the angler in our lives. We may even want to provide that extra encouragement that a spouse, child or friend may need to become a future fishing buddy. At On the Fly South, we very much appreciate the advertising support we receive and want to remind our subscribers, that a gift certificate for a guided trip, fly-casting lesson or fishing gear is never the wrong size and always appreciated. Following are ideas and suggestions for the angler on your gift list:

ViviLux (viviluxusa.com) Dave Riba developed the portable magnifier and lamp with crafters in mind. Recently he debuted his item with fly tyers. The lamp is portable, light-weight and can be carried on fishing trips for either spur-of-the-moment or planned tying sessions. It is stable and not ‘tippy’ during use. There are different sizes and models of the lamp. It comes with three settings: bright white, warm (for reading) and natural daylight (for true color).
