Situated on the banks of the Tuckasegee River in Dillsboro, North Carolina, this lodge is indeed a retreat for those who choose to enjoy nature’s serenity or the angler whom actively takes advantage of the Tuck’s offering of trout and smallmouth bass. The Dillsboro Inn is the ideal place to do either or both.

Owners and innkeepers TJ and Terry Walker, along with their dogs, welcome guests to the inn that features rustic, but comfortably decorated suites and spacious decks overlooking the scenic Tuckasegee River. Access to fishing is just a few steps away, so it’s easy to head down to the water at a moment’s notice, but still remain in reach of the comforts and conveniences of your room. The Walkers are natives of south Florida, but fell in love with the beauty of the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains with their calm waters and rolling rivers.

The suites are tastefully decorated and comfortable.

Dillsboro Inn accommodates families, couples or any configuration of fishing party. The inn offers various options, including four efficiency suites or five two-room suites. If any persons in your fishing party over-exert themselves while wading the rivers, both TJ and Terry are well-versed in yoga and do lead classes alongside the river.

The quaint town of Dillsboro is just a short walk away. A number of shops, breweries and restaurants are within easy reach. There are plenty of options, many with outdoor seating, and you will wish you had more time to sample them all, even a few repeatedly. The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad, providing scenic rail excursions along the Tuckasegee, runs right through town. Other possible excursions nearby are the Jackson County Green Energy Park, displaying the use of renewable energy for glassblowing, pottery, greenhouses and more. It also features an artisan’s gallery with tours, festivals and classes. The nearby Dillsboro River Company offers tubing and rafting trips. The Appalachian Women’s Museum shares the stories of Southern Appalachian women, that lived extraordinary lives.

The suites are ideal for couples, families or angling groups.

Enjoy a stay at the beautiful Dillsboro Inn, where you can partake of a cup of coffee or an adult beverage just outside your suite on the banks of the river – just prior to or after a full day of angling in her waters. A better location can’t be found for enjoying the trout waters of the Tuckasegee and other nearby streams.

Inquiries can be made by phone by calling (866) 586-3898 or by email found on their website. You may also text (828) 507-3113 for information. Rates vary by date, number of people in your party and suites style.
